To install a 50-amp Level 2 EV charger, typically follow these steps:
1. Check Electrical Capacity: Ensure your home's electrical system can support a 50-amp charger, usually needing a 200-amp service.
2. Select Installation Location: Install the charger in a convenient spot for parking and close to the electrical panel.
3. Obtain Permits: Depending on local regulations, a permit might be required for installation.
4. Install a Dedicated 240V Circuit: A dedicated 240V circuit with a 50-amp breaker is needed, which should be done by a licensed electrician.
5. Install the Charger: Mount the charger on the wall as per the manual's instructions.
6. Wire the Charger: An electrician should run the appropriate gauge electrical wire from the panel to the charger.
7. Make Electrical Connections: The electrician will connect the wires to the breaker and the charger.
8. Test the Charger: After installation, test the charger with your EV to ensure functionality.

Our ev charger comes with a plug-and-play setup, but it does not include an RFID card in the shipping package. If you require RFID cards for specific functionalities or access control, you can purchase them separately.

My Autel EVSE works fine for filling the vehicle, but none of the Smart features actually work. The light on the box says I have good Bluetooth and WiFi connections and my home Wifi app shows the unit as connected and transmitting data. On the app the WiFi will only show as connected if you stay in Bluetooth range. Charge notifications, start / stop functionality from the app, charge history - none of these Smart features actually work.
Support has not been helpful to date - they only say an update is being worked on. Many other users have reported similar issues in the Autel app bug section or various review sites.
Sorry but if you are selling a product that does not actually work, you should not sell it.

50A charger makes this one of the faster level 2 you can install in your home. Just remember that your breaker should be rated for 125% of this amperage. But our car charges so much faster than our neighbors with Tesla level 2 chargers.

Nice and very good so far but it looks like wifi is working only if BT is connected. Mine is disconnecting frequently depending on were I am inside the house…
We appreciate your feedback. Your issue might be related to the distance between the charging station and your WiFi source. If they're too far apart, or if the WiFi signal is weak, disconnections might occur. We'd appreciate it if you could take note of the frequency of the disconnections, and also try connecting to a mobile hotspot and staying close for about 5-10 minutes to see if the disconnections persist.
